NEWCOMERS' CLASS
Following the success of our 2023 Beginners course, we plan to run another one this autumn.Starting on 10th October 2024 for 10 weeks, on Thursday evenings 7.30pm - 8.30pm
The cost is £45 for 10 classes payable in advance
This will overlap with part of the general class, allowing the newcomers' to dance with more experienced dancers, which is really beneficial.
Couples are, of course, very welcome, but you definitely don't need to come with a partner - there will always be somebody to dance with you and during the evening you will dance with a number of different partners. There is also no need to have any Scottish heritage!
We can advise on dance shoes once you have decided you like SC dancing, but meanwhile just wear low soft soled shoes and loose comfortable clothing.
If you are reading this after the beginners' course is finished, don't despair, newcomer are always very welcome to join the main class, part of which will be adapted to help new dancers learn the basics of Scottish Country Dancing.
